Turkey, Cheddar, and Caramelized Pear Sandwich

Tasty Sandwich!

I used some of my pear and walnut bread to make a really tasty sandwich the other night. Some toasted slices of the bread with roasted turkey breast, Beecher’s Flagship cheese, and caramelized pears. (recipe here)

Really yummy combination! And then I followed it up with some caramelized pears by themselves as dessert…

That looks like a great sandwich. Unfortunately, I live in a houseful of people who cannot tolerate fruit in their bread. Who knew they existed.

Gasp! Dried fruit is good in bread, and fresh fruit even better! Well, to each their own I guess. Maybe you could start sneaking it to them as puree for hydration first? ;)

It would be detected. But in all other ways they are pleasant people, so I will tolerate their idiosyncrasies.
